Is it REAL BBQ?

KC BBQ | February 13, 2011

Have you ever enjoyed Picture of Black Pork Butts. Delicious!“Real” Bar-B-Que?  Not “Char”-B-Que, or “Faux”-B-Que, but real deal, “Authentic” BBQ.  We’re talking about Dry Rub seasoned, wood smoked, LOW & SLOW (cooking temperatures & in smoker for hours on end).  Real Hand Crafted Barbecue.  Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Pork Ribs, succulent Chicken, Links, served with traditional sides, homemade sauces, and don’t for the Sweet Tea!
When you go to a BBQ Restaurant these days, it’s often hard to tell if you will end up with “REAL” BBQ or just meat with “Barbecue sauce” on it.
When the Smokin’ Steve’s BBQ Joint concept was created, it was to be a real hole-in-the-wall, real deal Southern Style Barbecue Joint, big on flavor and low on frills.  Even the sandwiches on hamburger buns with cole slaw on top duplicates the tradition of joints in places like Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas.

Make your face happy and put the flavor of the South in your Mouth![/caption]

Seriously,  this is just like a southern barbecue joint!  Honestly, some of the best barbecue Ive had in Ventura county.  I got the pulled pork sandwich, Memphis style. Sooo good. The potatoes salad was delicious.
The price was good as well. I'll def be returning!!

The best REAL southern BBQ in Simi, no doubt. The brisket was the best, but all really good. You will add this place to your regulars list.

I love love love this place. I have gone twice now, and I will be back again and again!
Had the PULLED PORK SANDWICH and the hubby had the BRISKET SANDWICH.  We both got sides (tater salad) and a soda and the bill was less than $17……
